Sierra Leone is one of the poorest countries in the world. The civil war and the Ebola epidemic have left the young population orphaned and helpless. The only solution that many minors consider to survive, eat and pay their studies is engaging in prostitution.
In September 2016, the Salesians of Don Bosco Fambul started in Freetown a program to rescue them from prostitution, accept them and look after them in a family environment.
After the documentary, Fr Jorge Crisafulli sdb, director of Don Bosco Fambul-Freetown will explain their ‘Girls OS +’ program aiming to recover the dignity of underage girls who work as prostitutes in order to survive and followed by a debate with Angel Gudiña, Executive Secreatry of Don Bosco International.
